Glamapocalypse: Trend Forecasting F/W 2026
The Ask
The ask of this project was to study the zeitgeist of the current semester and create a forecast for the Fall/Winter 2026 season. We were placed into groups and asked to take into account historical research as well as trends on the runway and the street to create an aesthetic 30 slide deck that highlighted our predicted forecast.
The Team
I worked alongside a group of three other members, including Haley Faison, Olivia Seaver, and Aaron Hopkins. I created the moodboard seen above in this section, as well as researched historical influences and searched for current references. We all worked together and brought different perspectives to the table, creating a cohesive forecast that incorporated and reflected all of our ideas.

Process
Our first step in the process was to get acquainted with each other in a group, and brainstorm what our overall concept and theme of the forecast was going to be. We took into account current events and the zeitgeist of the world at the time to come up with Glamapocalypse: Escapism in the Face of Disaster. We constructed a research map of influences, including historical, style icons, and present day. I contextualized these references and connected them to similarities in the present day to predict where the fashion industry would be by Fall/Winter 2026.
We then researched our target customer of our trend, and created a mood board to bring our specific persona to life. An overall mood board was created with color swatches to further visualize what our forecast would look like, with two following mood boards that highlighted half of the total colors in more detail.
After considering the zeitgeist, aesthetic, target consumer, and historical references, we were ready to start selecting fabrics and looks that highlighted elements in line with our forecast. We were tasked with picturing and sourcing multiple examples of certain fabrics, street looks, runway looks, and accessories, as well as justify as to how they tie into our overall theme.
Outcome
The end result was a complete and detailed forecast, compiled into a cohesive slide deck and analysis that was then presented to our class, professor, and some professionals from Fashion Snoops. My takeaway was a strong affinity for the detail and level of research that goes into trend forecasting, as well as the importance of teamwork in completing a project of this caliber.
